Proposition 118 is good for families, good for businesses, and good for Colorado.

At some point, nearly everyone will need to take time to care for themselves, a newborn baby, or a seriously ill family member.

What's at Stake

Four out of five Coloradans don’t have access to paid family and medical leave. This lack of coverage has become glaringly obvious during the coronavirus pandemic when many people have loved ones who need care.

This measure would ensure that 2.6 million hard-working Coloradans can take up to 12 weeks of paid family and medical leave when they need to recover from a serious illness, bond with a new child or care for a loved one in need. It provides an affordable option for all Colorado businesses and the smallest businesses pay nothing, but their employees are still covered.
